Athlete's Guide: The Race at Olympia Performance

The next HYROX Quebec Series event is almost here! Join us for the second race of five, earn points toward the Quebec Championships, and give it your all at Olympia Performance in Kirkland. Check out your athlete guide—clear, direct, and easy to follow.

EVENT DETAILS

  • Race #2 of 5 in the 2025 HYROX Quebec Series.
  • Dates: 24–25 May, from 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
  • Address: 16,869 Hymus Boulevard, Kirkland, QC, H9H 3L4.
  • Qualifying event for the Quebec Championships.

ARRIVAL TIME AND PREPARATION

  • Arrive 45 minutes before your start time.
  • Upon arrival: parking, registration, warm-up.
  • Be ready at the starting line 10 minutes before your start time.

YOUR EXACT START TIME & PODIUM SCHEDULE

  • Your exact start time will be emailed 2 days before the race.
  • No changes can be made.
  • Be ready to start between 9:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.

Parking

No parking in front of the building — reserved for neighbouring businesses. Cars parked in prohibited areas will be towed without warning and at your expense.

Please use one of the two free public car parks:


  1. Chez Cora / Dollarama – 1 min. walk: 2995 Saint-Charles Blvd., Kirkland.

ATHLETE HEALTH & SAFETY

Your safety is our top priority:


  • Two emergency doctors will be on site throughout the event.
  • First aid kits and a defibrillator are available at the reception desk and with emergency services.
  • If you feel unwell or see another athlete in distress, notify a volunteer or judge immediately.
  • All volunteers are trained to report incidents quickly and alert the appropriate people.


Remember: a good race is a safe race. It's better to slow down than risk your health.

ON-SITE FACILITIES

  • Limited access to showers, toilets and changing rooms.
  • Indoor and outdoor spectator areas.
  • Warm-up area with weights, mats and machines.
  • Travel light: bring only the essentials.

THE COURSE

  • The course takes place indoors and outdoors, regardless of the weather: dress accordingly.
  • There will be a hydration station on the course, provided by our amazing sponsors SIIP. It's really good!
  • The course map will be sent with your start time.

  • Pick up your finisher's badge and wear it proudly — you've earned it.
  • Head to the finisher's area for a souvenir photo — share it and tag @hyrox_series_quebec
  • Check your results on the leaderboard.

SpectatOrs

  • Spectators are welcome.
  • Bring signs, energy, and your loudest voice.
  • Spectators are never allowed on the course.
  • In case of rain: an umbrella is recommended.

QUALIFICATION FOR THE QUEBEC CHAMPIONSHIPS

  • Top 3 doubles teams (men, women, mixed) qualify.
  • Solo PRO: points accumulated to qualify.

ORIENTATION ON THE COURSE

  • Highly visible signs at each station and throughout the course.
  • Volunteers will guide you.
  • Lost? Ask a volunteer, they're there to help.

PENALTIES AND JUDGES

  • See the standards here: Standards.
  • Judges will explain the movements at each station.
  • One correction for the first mistake, penalties for subsequent mistakes.
  • Disagree with a decision? Finish the race, then speak to the head judge.
  • Any disrespectful behaviour will result in immediate disqualification.

GENERAL RULES – DOUBLE CATEGORIES

  • Partners must complete all running events together.
  • They may switch stations as they wish, as often as they wish.
  • Partners must remain within 2 metres of each other; otherwise, they will be penalized.
  • The partner who is resting must remain behind the one who is working.

IF YOU CAN NO LONGER PARTICIPATE

Something unexpected come up? No problem — up to a point.


  • You can change your registration or transfer it to someone else up to 72 hours before the race, for a fee.
  • No changes or refunds are possible within 72 hours of the event.

La réponse courte : pas tout à fait. Chaque course de la Série HYROX Québec suit une standardisation rigoureuse — mais ça ne veut pas dire qu’elles sont identiques. Certaines seront naturellement plus rapides... ou plus lentes. Voici ce qui reste toujours le même, ce qui peut changer, et ce que ça veut dire pour toi en tant qu’athlète en quête de PB, de podiums ou d’une qualification.
